kilometers from Angouleme, west towards La Rochelle, the village
of Venat is located in a meander of the Charente river. The house
is the former grocery-cafe of the village, in the street leading
to the church.
Its restoration has preserved the spirit of the place by amending the minimum original facilities. The added materials are ecological (hemp insulation, lime paints) and energy saver (solar boiler, wood stove). |
